Brazilian Information Bulletin

In February 1971, the first volume of the Brazilian Information Bulletin was released out of the Bay Area through the collaboration of several formerly jailed Brazilian activists and American sympathizers. The publication sought to highlight repressive circumstances in Brazil, as well as U.S. complicity with the regime that enforced them. It also looked at indigenous rights and environmental protections in the country, publishing exposes about the Trans-Amazonian Highway and collaborating with an indigenous rights group in Berkeley to publish a larger expose called Supysáua. All of the issues can be found here, thanks to the work of Anivaldo Padilha.
